Dr. Gina Jacobsen graduated from the University of Illinois with a B.S. in Biology and spent two years in medical sales before attending the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Dentistry, earning her Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2007. Post graduation, she spent another year completing a General Practice Residency at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center and Dental Clinic in Chicago. During her time there, she completed hospital rotations in anesthesia, oral surgery and emergency medicine. She gained experience in working with patients with developmental disabilities in the dental clinic setting and in the operating room, and became proficient in intravenous conscious sedation. Dr. Jacobsen is a member of the American Dental Society, Illinois State Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society, Fox Valley Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry and a western suburban Spear Study Club.
Dr. Jacobsen takes pride in enrolling in numerous continuing education courses to ensure she is always providing her patients with the highest care possible. She enjoys spending time with her patients and educating them in order to make sure they are aware of their options. She believes in working together to find a treatment that works best for their lifestyle and overall health.
When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Jacobsen cherishes her time spent with her husband, 2 children and extended family. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, gardening, and Pilates.
